KINGSFORD — Henry “Hank” Hendrickson, 76, of Kingsford, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017 at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain. He was born July 25, 1941, in Kingsford, son of the late Arthur and Mary (Zeutzius) Hendrickson. Hank was raised in this area and graduated from Vulcan High School in 1961. Following his graduation he entered the United States Air Force and served for 3 years until his honorable discharge as senior airman in 1964. Hank married Bonnie Ballerio in Iron Mountain in 1967. He worked for the United States Postal Service for 43 years, retiring in 2006.
Hank was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain. He was a collector. His collections included, antiques, model cars, trains and belt buckles. He also enjoyed meeting new people, photography, and watching the history channel and sports on television, especially the Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Brewers.
Hank is survived by his son, Evan Hendrickson of New London, Wis.; brothers, James (Kay) Hendrickson of Kingsford and Robert (Germaine) Hendrickson of Kingsford; sister, Cheryl (John) Heric of Sterling Heights; and by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Hank was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie in 2009, and his brother, William Hendrickson.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017 at Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Michael March will officiate.
Burial will be held at the Norway Township Cemetery.
