Corrine P. Munn
KINGSFORD — Corrine P. Munn, 85, of Kingsford, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017, at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay, Wis.
She was born April 24, 1932, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Hugo and Nina (Spigarelli) Bafile.
She was a lifelong resident of the Iron Mountain/Kingsford area, graduating from Iron Mountain High School in 1949. Corrine married Dwaine Munn on Jan. 30, 1951, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Iron Mountain. He preceded her in death on May 4, 2006.
Corrine was a member of American Martyrs church and worked on the funeral lunch committee for many years. She was also a member of the Red Hat Club. Corrine was an exceptional Italian cook and loved to bake. She had worked as a prep cook at Shakey’s, Wendy’s, and at Holiday Kitchen for 16 years. She volunteered countless hours at the VA Hospital and making pasties at the Breen Senior Center. Corrine loved to play cards with her neighborhood friends and family.
She is survived by two children, Randy (Denise) Munn of Iron Mountain and Christine (Tom) Steeno of Cedarburg, Wis., a son-in-law, Dick Pierquet of New Mexico, her step-mother, Giacoma Bafile of Lorretto; one brother, Ron Bafile of Dahlonega, Ga.; one sister, Matilda (Michael) Rossatto of Loretto; six grandchildren, Darcy (Jay) Brown, Brian (Laura) Munn, Michelle (Matt) Hohner, Jeffery (Megan) Pierquet, Brent Steeno, and Jared Steeno; great-grandchildren, Cole and Julia Brown, Elaine and Jake Munn, and Grayson and Eli Hohner, Odessa, Liam, and Charolette Steeno, Kael and Eiley; two nephews, Christopher (Meghan) Rossatto of Iron Mountain and Nicholas Rossatto of Marquette; and two special great-nephews, Adam and Brandon Bosley.
Corrine was preceded in death by one daughter, Pamela Pierquet, one brother, Robert; and three sisters, Gloria, Evelyn and Jeanette.
Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19 at American Martyrs Church.
Fr. Joseph Gouin will offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Iron Mountain Cemetery Park.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in her memory.
