HERMANSVILLE — Joan Caliaro, 75, Hermansville, passed away on Jan. 11, 2018 at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.
She was born in May of 1942, daughter of Hubert and Isabelle (Hanna) Charles and was raised in Faithorn. Joan married George Caliaro on May 15, 1965, in Faithorn. She was a loving and completely devoted wife for over 52 years.
Joan’s favorite activities through the years included: crocheting, watching QVC, driving around the area looking for wildlife, watching her grandchildren in their sporting events, and going to family events to see her nieces, nephews, cousins, and siblings. She never grew tired of playing rummy with George, her children, and grandchildren. Joan’s family will always remember her caring compassionate ways, and how she loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
She was a faithful member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Hermansville. Joan worked as a aide and cook at North Central Schools in Hermansville for many years.
Joan is survived by the love of her life: George, daughters: Paty (Lance) Carter and Barb Dmoch, granddaughter: Alex, grandsons: Sawyer and Zachary, sister: Eunice Moln, brother: Bob (Sharon) Charles, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son in law: Walter Dmoch, and brother in law: Bob Moln.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Central time on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Hermansville. Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation at church at 11 a.m. Central time with Fr. Jacek Wtyklo officiating. A meal will immediately follow mass at St. John Neumann Catholic Church parish hall in Spalding. Burial will be in Meyer Township Cemetery.
