IRON MOUNTAIN — Sandra Jean Richard, 77, of Iron Mountain died Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay, Wis.
She was born on Nov. 19, 1940, the daughter of the late Cecil “Happy” and Veronica (Freitag) Hostettler.
Sandi graduated from Iron Mountain High School and attended business college in Milwaukee. She owned and operated Richard’s Greenhouse for many years on the north side of Iron Mountain and retired as a dietary aide at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital.
Sandi was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed daily meals with her friends, attending dances at the senior center, feeding her deer and hummingbirds, watching Green Bay Packers games, and spending quality time with her furry friend Stretch (pet cat).
Sandi is survived by her children, James Richard II of Denmark, Wis., and Jamie Kyle (fiancé Daniel Tuescher) of Janesville, Wis.; grandchildren, Gage Kyle, Macy Kyle, and Dante Tuescher; her special friend and stepmother, June Hostettler of Iron Mountain; siblings, Richard Hostettler of Chilton, Wis., Kim (Keith) Mashak of Kingsford, Marsha (Craig) Olson of Iron Mountain, Robert (Kim) Hostettler of Quinnesec; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Sandi was preceded in death by two children, James Francis Richard Jr. and Tammy Marie Richard.
Private family services will be held. Burial will take place in Cemetery Park in the spring.
