IRON MOUNTAIN — Elizabeth M. Parolini, 103, of Iron Mountain, formerly of Las Vegas, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018, with her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Jerry Romitti at her side.

She was born on Oct. 22, 1914, in Marshfield, Mo., daughter of the late John and Adelina Cologna Sr. Elizabeth graduated from St. de Chantal Academy of the Visitation in Springfield, Mo.

She married Elmer Parolini on May 25, 1940, in Vancouver, B.C. Their early years raising their family were in Bremerton, Wash., before moving to Las Vegas in 1973. In 2007 the couple moved to this area to be cared for by their daughter Mary and her husband Jerry Romitti. Elmer preceded Elizabeth in death on Aug. 3, 2009.

Elizabeth was a wardrobe mistress for the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, helping many celebrities though the years.

She will be fondly remembered by her family as their beloved Queen Elizabeth. She was a devout Catholic and her faith brought her much comfort.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Mary (Jerry) Romitti of Iron Mountain, three sons Ken (Rosario) Parolini of New Jersey, Jim Parolini of Nevada and Joseph (Brenda Blake) Parolini of Arizona; one sister, Rose Emma Devaurs of California; and one brother, Louis Cologna of Washington.

Elizabeth’s extended family includes her beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Louise Cologna and Margaret Cleary; and one brother, John Cologna Jr.

Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. at the church. Father Janusz Romanek will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Deaon Don Christy will concelebrate.

Burial will be in the Quinnesec Cemetery.
