Amber (Glasson) Clark

Amber (Glasson) Clark

CRYSTAL FALLS — Amber (Glasson) Clark peacefully passed away Sunday, May 20, after 107 years of life. Born in 1911 to parents John and Paulina Glasson of Cuyuna, Minn., Amber married Richard Clark of Crystal Falls in July 1933. Together, they raised three children: June, Gene and Penny.

A lifelong member of Christ United Methodist Church, Amber was an avid churchgoer participating in many of its circles and generously volunteered her time with the Order of the Eastern Star serving as both ‘Worthy Matron’ and Chaplain. Friends and family will remember waiting each Sunday to see which stylish hat Amber had chosen to wear, and whether it would be tilted to the right or left.

Amber is survived by her daughter, Penny (Allen) Mendini; grandchildren, Pat Clark, Andy (Amy) Mendini, Maria (Mark) Fuller; and great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Evan and Cecelia. Amber was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; children, June and Gene; and grandson, Brian.

‘Grandma Crystal Falls’ or ‘Grandma Boo Boo,’ as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren lovingly called her, will be remembered as always being up for a good game of smear, a cold glass of beer and a fast polka.

Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. Friday at the Nash Funeral Home in Crystal Falls.

A memorial service will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Rev. Reed Swanson will officiate.

Condolences may be expressed to the family of Amber Clark online at www.nashfuneralhome.net.

The family has entrusted the Nash Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Crystal Falls with the arrangements.
