James E. Jackson

He was on born Jan. 18, 1945, in Buchanan, Ga., son of the late James and Iv (Eaves) Jackson. Jim grew up in Bren, Ga., and married Roberta Harrington in January 1978 in Crystal Falls. They made Crystal Falls their home. Jim was self employed and worked many years as a mechanic in the Crystal Falls area. He was known by the people in the area to be able to fix just about any engine.

Jim enjoyed camping, fishing, and especially the time spent with his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Roberta; two sons, Michael (Heather Clemo) Jackson, Crystal Falls, and Craig Jackson, Georgia; four daughters, Alice Jackson, Wausau, Wis., Barbara (Brian) Cherubini, Crystal Falls, Teresa Jackson, Gwinn, and Kathy (Robert Pivatto) Jackson, Crystal Falls; 10 grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas, Aaron, Austin, Cody, Jessica, Angel, Robert, Dominic and Peyton; and by a good friend, John Faccin, Crystal Falls.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by one daughter, Melissa; one granddaughter, Ashley; and one sister, Mary Francis Sheley.

Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Pastor Doug Johnson will officiate.

Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls.
