Charles “Cookie” John Yagodzinski Jr.

SPALDING — Charles “Cookie” John Yagodzinski Jr., 73, of Spalding, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. He was born in Menominee on Nov. 6, 1944, son of the late Charles J. and Katherine (Zemba) Yagodzinski.

Cookie proudly served in the National Guard during the Detroit Riots.

Cookie enjoyed cheering on the Minnesota Vikings, collecting coins and taking trips to the casino.

He is survived by his children: Kevin (Mary) Yagodzinski and Kristie Yagodzinski; grandchildren: Megan (Peter Kleikamp) Yagodzinski, Amanda (David Reaser) St. Juliana, Jacob (Taylor Gehrcke) St. Juliana, and Benjamin Yagodzinski; great-grandchildren: Evan and Lily Kleikamp; siblings: Frank Yagodzinski and Dorothy Marcouiller; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Cookie was preceded in death by his parents; a sister-in-law: Olga Yagodzinski; and brother-in-law: Jim Marcouiller.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Central time Thursday, Aug. 30 at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Spalding. Military rites will follow visitation at 3 p.m., presented by the Tony Revord American Legion Post 244.
