FLORENCE, Wis. — Anthony C. Dollar, 71, of Florence, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2019, at his home.

He was born June 12, 1947, in Green Bay, Wis., son of the late Antone C. and Laverne (Splingaire) Dollar. Tony grew up in Green Bay and was a graduate of East DePere High School. He lived in Green Bay for 35 years before moving to Florence in 1984. Tony worked on the railroad for 22 years with Escanaba Lake Superior, Wisconsin Central and Canadian National and had also farmed for 25 years. On Sept. 21, 1998, in Niagara, Wis., Anthony was united in marriage to Virginia Mohr. She preceded him in death on April 21, 2014.

Anthony enjoyed watching the deer, wild turkeys, birds and other wildlife outside his patio window every day. He loved the great outdoors, especially hunting.

Survivors include one son, Charles (Amanda) Dollar of Iron Mountain; three daughters, Christine (Gaylord) Scott of Florence, Connie (Michael) Dollar of Neenah-Menasha, Wis., and Roberta (James) D’Agostino of Florence; nine grandchildren, Tyler, Kaileigh, Tiana, Joshua (Jennifer), Kristen (Ross), Thomis, Nicole, Dakota and Griffen; great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sandy (Gary) Arendt of Green Bay, and Marion (David) Coates; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Virginia, Anthony was preceded in death by an infant sister, Joyce Dollar; and one sister, Diane Layman.

Visitation will be 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday, March 25 at the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home, Florence.

Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Rev. Fr. Timothy Brandt will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Commonwealth, Wis., in the spring.
