Cancer Unit Loan Closet says thanks to Bras for a Cause

Bouquets & Barbs

From Diane Schabo, president, Dickinson County Cancer Unit Loan Closet:

On behalf of the Dickinson County Cancer Unit Loan Closet, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to all those who made the recent “Bras for a Cause” such a success. We cannot thank the Iron Mountain-Kingsford Credit Union enough for taking on such a huge endeavor. The generosity of our local community is overwhelming. Whether it is a business, organization, civic group, school or individual, your compassion for those who are experiencing severe medical issues makes us all so proud. While it is difficult to thank everyone personally, please know that your friends at the loan closet will never forget your thoughtfulness and neither will our clients. You are the best!

Museum appreciated help with Taste of Chocolate

From Judy Carlsen, Jake Menghini Museum, Norway:

Jake Menghini Museum extends heartfelt thanks to all who made their 2017 Taste of Chocolate fundraiser a success. Particularly, we appreciate Norway’s Senior Center, for offering their facility, and the Guiliani family loaning us Don Guiliani’s large Teddy Bear Collection for our special feature, as well as the Marine Corps League for distributing these fuzzy friends to local children through Toys for Tots. Thanks go out to those who donated gift certificates: Norway Pharmacy, Econo Foods, Hall’s True Value, Lofholm’s Building Center, The Thirsty Whale, Norway Senior Center and Dairy Queen.

Thank you, also, to coordinator Gayle Nicholson and the Museum Partners for their service at the event and the wonderful sweets they baked with the help of many community members.

And, finally, a hearty thanks to local media for publicizing the Taste of Chocolate.
