Thanks to all for successful museum event

Bouquet

From Cris Hamlin, director, Jake Menghini Museum, Norway:

Oh my goodness! Many a thank you goes out to all of the folks who attended the Ice Cream Social and Band Concert on Tuesday, July 17, at the Jake Menghini Museum. The weather was perfect for a night of music, fellowship, and fun. The Museum Partners served more than 250 sundaes to a well-deserving crowd of folks who came to the event.

Our thanks go out to Pellegrini Berry Farm in Vulcan, who had such beautiful berries for us to pick and serve with the ice cream; to the pickers who went out to pick the berries; the men who set up and took down the chairs for the band and the attendees; the high school student who put out informational fliers; the Museum Partners who served the sundaes; and the “ice cream lady” who made sure we had just enough ice cream for the evening.

A big thank-you to the Norway City Band — formed in 1882, the 30-member band is the oldest band in Michigan to perform on a consecutive yearly basis — for putting on an excellent concert. I also want to thank all the media who published our articles and the radio stations for informing the public of this event. Thank you, again, to all who came out to support the annual Ice Cream Social and Band Concert — without your support, there would be no Jake Menghini Museum.
