Appreciated help at Community Connect
Bouquets and Barbs
From Charlene Bigelow, Kingsford:
Our family wants to extend a very sincere thank you for the recent Community Connect event on Friday, Nov. 9 at the Northern Lights YMCA.
The information booths were very helpful on where to go to reach out for help. I came home and thoroughly read all my papers and information and have been spending this past week connecting with our needed sponsors who helped host this event.
I heard once that “A community is only as strong as its weakest link.” I saw our weakest links strengthened and encouraged and very thankful, as we reached out to complete the Community Connect’s event.
Thank you for the opportunity to be there.
Thankful for DCHS’s meals on Thanksgiving
From Agatha Cavaiani, Kingsford:
The bountiful Thanksgiving day dinner served at the Dickinson County Healthcare System’s cafeteria by the employees and volunteers was much appreciated by the homebound, special needs persons, elderly, disabled, veterans and all others.
The take-out meals were well organized and the dine-in waiters and waitresses were professional, courteous and friendly. The meal was not served last year due to budget cuts.
A huge thank you and God bless from the entire community for this very-much-needed holiday tradition.
