Speak up for net neutrality

In just a few weeks, the FCC will vote to determine the fate of net neutrality. The FCC chairman, Ajit Pai, formerly worked as a lawyer for Verizon. The elimination of net neutrality would be a win for major internet providers such as Verizon, AT&T and Comcast. It could be devastating for consumers, small business owners and entrepreneurs.

The move would mean the FCC would have almost no oversight of internet providers. That means the providers could charge more for high-speed internet, creating a system where the rich can afford access to high-speed internet while working families may not. Small businesses and innovators would no longer be protected from blocking or access fees that could be charged by internet providers.

I urge you to go to www.BattleForTheNet.com and register your outrage that this is happening. Protect freedom of the internet!
