The Hillsdale-bound Gagne, who isn’t a fan of the excruciating 400, expects to stay with the sprints in college. “Probably, I don’t know if I’ll run the 400,” she said. Any regrets this season? “I’ve always wanted to run a relay, the 400,” Dani said. Norway’s other track champs, Nicole Vanderlin and Megan Kangas, also have college plans. Vanderlin, a U.P. Division 2 high jump record holder, will continue in that event plus relays at prestigious St. Norbert College in DePere, Wis. Kangas, 4.0 student and class valedictorian, will major in pre-medicine at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
