Landsee's Mustangs up against the wall
June 27, 2012 - Burt Angeli
The Milwaukee Mustangs and Iron Mountain’s Bob Landsee are in a tough spot.
The Mustangs (5-9) trail four teams with four games left in the Arena Football League playoff hunt.
“It’s getting hard to do,” Landsee, Mustangs coach, told the JournalSentinel after a 52-37 loss to the Arizona Rattlers. “It just pisses me off that we go through this stuff week in and week out.”
Landsee believes his Mustangs can make the playoffs if they close out the season with four wins.
The Mustangs lost one of their weapons when Kelvin Rodgers (5 TD kick-off returns) was released from the team.
“He was not playing team football,” Landsee said. “Kelvin and I had a discussion and had to go our separate ways.”
Mustangs travel to Cleveland on Friday and Jacksonville on July 6; return home Saturday, July 14, to meet the Chicago Rush, and close out the season July 22 in Orlando.
