Lake Superior State women's basketball landed a good one in Saint Ignace forward Lauren Goldthorpe, who displayed the best shooting form of anybody — sorry, nephews — in the recent U.P. Michigan Tech men's basketball coach Kevin Luke admits to receiving and rejecting Division I offers. "I didn't feel like my work here was done," Luke, highly successful at Division II MTU, told the Mining Gazette. "And I still don't feel like that." Luke covered a wide variety of subjects in a May interview including the long bus trips. "On occasion I'll nap," Luke, a Westwood High School graduate,  said.
