Wisconsin no cinch in 'Leaders'

July 30, 2012 - Burt Angeli
Wisconsin should be concerned with Purdue in Big Ten football, says veteran Lansing sportscaster and State Journal columnist Tim Staudt.

“I’m not so sure that Wisconsin is a lock to win the Leaders Division this fall now that Penn State and Ohio State are ineligible,” Staudt wrote. “Purdue could finish 5-3 in league play and with a win at home over the Badgers and a couple of other games falling the right way the Boilermakers could sneak into the title game in Indianapolis.

“Illinois and Indiana are the other two teams vying for the coveted spot.”
