'Irish Mickey' Doyle wins 'barbed wire death match'

“Irish Mickey” Doyle, who took a beating in his first “barbed wire death match” Saturday night in Aurora, didn’t rule out another return to the pro wrestling ring.
“I had a lot of lacerations, but if there’s pretty good money ...,” a mending Mickey said Tuesday.
Mickey suffered barbed-wire cuts to his face and arms from Peter B. Beautiful. The local hero was fortunate in finding a garbage can and utilizing Peter B. Beautiful’s barbed-wire baseball bat in winning the match.
“Just a coincidence,” Mickey, age 64, said of locating the outside assistance.
While Mickey experienced his first “barbed wire” match in 40 years, another wrestler in the show, Sabu, has been through 75 in his career.
Retired radio broadcaster Mike Carr was pressed into full duty, serving as ring announcer for every match and all four hours. Both Mike and Mickey were impressed with main event wrestler "The Rocker" Marty Jannetty, who got along with everybody involved ...
