Mariucci moved by Reid's death

An emotional Steve Mariucci talked about Garrett Reid’s death during an NFL Network appearance.

“I can’t imagine how devastating it must be (for the family),” Iron Mountain’s Mariucci, an NFL Network analyst, said.

Mariucci and Eagles coach Andy Reid, father of the 29-year-old who was found dead Sunday in a dorm room at the club's Lehigh University training camp, coached together with the Green Bay Packers.

Ty Detmer, looking back at his time with the Packers (1993, 1995), saluted head coach Mike Holmgren and Mariucci.

“Mike was hands-on with the offense and I learned some much from him and Steve Mariucci,” Detmer told Packer Report.

Mariucci and Andy Reid also coached against each other in T-ball games involving their children.
