How far upriver

I won’t say that the end of Monday night’s Packers-Seahawks game was surreal but, yes, it was strange.

As the video continued to show replays of a football play, the audio was overtaken by an upriver scene from “Apocalypse Now,” where Capt. Willard wanders into a forlorn and chaotic outpost and asks if anyone is in charge.

Willard: “Who's in charge here, soldier?”

Infantryman: “Ain't you?”

Willard: “Soldier, do you know who's in command here?”

It was strange all right.

Funny, in a way, but one has to wonder ... How far upriver does the NFL want to go with this?
