Flivvers' Sanford like Roberts

October 9, 2012 - Burt Angeli
Kingsford’s Brooke Sanford, in addition to setting up teammates for spikes and diving to the floor for saves, delivers a sweet two-hand push shot across the net for the winners.

Brooke seems to be taking a page from Kelsey Roberts, a former Flivver standout with the same technique.

“It’s a little more disguised,” new Flivver coach Mandie Meyer said of Brooke’s style. “She’ll do it when she gets a perfect pass when you think she’s going to set the outside.

“I’ll tell Brooke, when you’re on the front row you’re an attacker, you’re not just the setter. It adds a little different element to the game.”

Just another reason why Kingsford is unbeaten in Great Northern Conference volleyball.
