Global warming (or climate change as it is referred to now) is a hot topic, even more so as legislation pertaining to the issue makes its way through Congress. Those supporting the claim that man is causing catastrophic change to the climate believe the science is settled. I take issue with that claim, and no, it's not because it’s July 1, and the temperature here struggled to touch 60 degrees. I don’t plan to take space here detailing why I question the theory of global warming, but in my opinion, politics is clearly twisting science and truth.
Several months ago, I came across an interesting Web site located at www.climatedebatedaily.com. Despite the claims that the science is settled, there is a active debate occurring as to whether or not the theory of global warming is valid. This simple yet informative site provides links to articles on both sides of the issue, leaving the reader to make up their own mind.
Another interesting site, especially for those skeptical of the theory of global warming, is www.iceagenow.com. The premise of this site is that instead of warming, Earth is heading toward its next ice age as it has done on regular cycles for eons. While clearly biased against the idea of man-made climate change and highly editorialized, the site does post interesting articles, letters, notes and facts from credible sources, which succeed in raising serious doubts about what is truly going on with the climate and debunking some of the common claims made in mainstream media.
