College hockey's loss is Soo's gain

January 4, 2013 - Burt Angeli
Soo Eagles junior hockey team must be happy Brandon Adams didn’t want to spend big bucks for college.

Adams, in his first game with the Sault Ste. Marie team, scored a natural hat trick in a 4-2 win over Port Huron.

Adams, according to The Evening News, left Holy Cross after two games for financial reasons. Tuition plus room and board, costing $55,130, may have sent him packing.

The Eagles now lead the NAHL North Division.
