Gravel grades St. Cloud defense

Kingsford’s Kevin Gravel gave his St. Cloud State University defense a “B” grade during a December assessment.

Gravel, a standout defenseman with the Huskies, told the St. Cloud (Minn.) Times that “we’re getting better.”

Gravel, drafted by the LA Kings of the National Hockey League, added, “there’s no reason why we can’t give our team a chance to win every night.”

Gravel is a tougher grader than three other teammates, who handed B plus, A and A minus for the St. Cloud defense.

Gravel shows one goal and five assists in 22 games (12-10 overall, 9-5 WCHA).
