One proud basketball coach

February 20, 2013 - Burt Angeli
Goodman-Pembine knocked out Elcho in the first game of the WIAA Division 5 boys basketball tournament.

That early exit didn’t prevent Elcho Coach Nicholas Hall from praising his team, particularly the seniors.

"This group of young men battled as hard as I could ever ask,” Hall said. “I am extremely proud of their effort and how much they have improved over the course of the season.”

"I can't say enough about our seniors,” said Hall, referring to Clayton Grose, Cory Ruhland and Steven Parise. “These three individuals have not only taken Elcho basketball to a new level but they have grown leaps and bounds in the four years as individuals.

"Clayton has decided to do one of the most honorable things a U.S. citizen can do by joining the U.S. Marine Corps to serve his country.

Cory has grown into an extremely hard working, dedicated individual that will have an outstanding future.

Steven has become a leader and has a dedication that is second to no one.

“These three young men have made me more proud then I thought any player could when I started coaching and teaching."
