I was told Mrs. Obama was a surprise announcer at the 85th annual Academy Awards show Sunday night. I suppose it’s fitting. The first lady and her husband have been representing the Hollywood set for years.

She announced the winner of the Best Picture award. Truly inspiring.

Actually, she should have gotten an award. She was finally able to act like a movie star. Wearing a silver gown, Mrs. Obama got to dress up and pretend the whole red carpet thing.

Watch for North Korean President Kim Jong Un to be a special Oscar presenter next year. After all, he’s somewhat of a film connoisseur since he inherited his father’s vast DVD collection.

Meantime, don’t be surprised if Michelle makes a guest appearance on Dancing with the Stars.
