What a difference a year makes

March 11, 2013 - Ron Deuter
Probably the worst part of Monday’s snowstorm is knowing that it was 63 degrees on this date last year. The Iron Mountain area experienced a wild ride in temperatures last March. After bottoming out at minus 10 on the night of March 5, Iron Mountain climbed to a high of 82 by March 21, as a warm spell and early spring took hold. Following a high of 27 degrees on March 9, 2012, Iron Mountain jumped nearly 30 degrees the next day (54) and temps only climbed from there:
March 11 — 63
March 12 — 48
March 13 — 57
March 14 — 71
March 15 — 65
March 16 — 67
March 17 — 80
March 18 — 79
March 19 — 79
March 20 — 81
March 21 — 82
