Part of life

March 29, 2013 - Blaine Hyska
It’s amazing how forecasters back away from global warming during an extended cold spell.

Last year at this time, when March temperatures were unseasonably high — in the 60s and 70s — you would think the world is coming to an end. Talking heads on TV stations were predicting gloom and doom for years to come.

With spring temperatures stuck in low gear this year, it’s like, “What’s global warming?”

I’m not saying the Weather Channel is extremist, but today’s list of popular headlines include the words “ghostly,” “amazing,” “creepy” (twice), “threaten,” “jaw-dropping,” and “phenomenal.”

Look, no one’s denying we’re in the midst of some sort of climate change.

We just need to be a bit more rational about it. From what I’ve read, the climate of Earth has been changing for centuries. It will likely continue to change centuries after we’re gone.

That’s just part of life.
