E.T. phone the earth
April 29, 2013 - Marguerite Lanthier
Here’s a nice gig. Get paid $20,000 plus expenses to listen to people try to prove the existence of extraterrestrials. Set to appear, for a fee, are former politicians such as Sen. Mike Gravel (D-Alaska), Reps. Darlene Hooley (D-Ore.), Merrill Cook (R-Utah), Roscoe Bartlett (R-Md.), Carolyn Kilpatrick (D-Mich.) and Lynn Woolsey (D-Calif.). The hearings are being sponsored by the Paradigm Research Group and they will “attempt to accomplish what the Congress has failed to do for 45 years — seek out the facts surrounding the most important issue of this or any other time,” according to the Citizens Hearing website. The 30 hours of congressional style hearings kicked off April 29 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. and are scheduled to run through May 3. Those testifying hope to prove that aliens contact earth and that the government is trying to keep it a secret. May the force be with them.
