Why Radiohead?

May 26, 2013 - Marguerite Lanthier
Radiohead is mentioned in the new Avril Lavigne song called, “Here’s To Never Growing Up.” I’m not the only one to make mention that the line, “Singing Radiohead at the top our lungs/ With the boombox blaring as we’re falling in love,” doesn’t seem to fit Radiohead. And I can’t even picture Avril singing any Radiohead songs out loud especially at the top of her lungs, if she even listens to them at all. (Perhaps I’m wrong, maybe she is a big fan.) One blogger thought it might be more appropriate for her to be singing Green Day at the top of her lungs. But if she is singing Radiohead at the top of her lungs, which song. Last year Katy Perry also had a song that mentioned Radiohead. Maybe they are more popular with young female singers than I know.
