Recipes wanted!

October 29, 2013 - Terri Castelaz
It’s cookbook time. The Daily News will be publishing its annual Holiday Cookbook on Nov. 20. I am asking for help in making it a successful publication. I would like readers to submit their favorite recipes. These recipes DO NOT have to be original recipes, just ones that you have used and love. Everyone has those “must have” dishes that you make for every special occasion. From your favorite dip to those fancy desserts and everything in between are welcome.

Men or women are also encouraged to submit their special wild game recipes. I am hoping to increase this section of the cookbook. The last few years there has been very few submitted. There is no limit to the number of recipes that can be submitted.

Categories are appetizers, beverages, breads, candies, desserts, main dish, salads, soups, vegetables and wild game. Deadline for submitting recipes is Friday, Nov. 8. In addition, I am asking that you print or type clearly and also check your recipe carefully before sending it in for printing. Make sure all the ingredients have been listed as well as all of the proper instructions. Because of incomplete recipes in the past I cannot stress this enough. Readers can send their recipes to Terri Castelaz preferably by e-mail to tcastelaz@ironmountaindailynews.com or also submit them online at www.ironmountaindailynews.com under submit your news and enter them under “Submit your recipe.” Please make sure your entry includes your name, your city and your telephone number. The can also be dropped off at the office or mailed to Terri Castelaz, Lifestyles Editor, P.O. Box 460, Iron Mountain, MI 49801.

I am looking forward to seeing some great new recipes this year. Thanks for your help.
