Another Christmas with the dreaded bug

December 26, 2013 - Terri Castelaz
Has there been a Christmas without someone in the family being sick. If there has, it has been a very long time.

This year we had two missing on Christmas Eve. My grandmother ended up getting the flu bug from my family who had it earlier along with the oldest daughter.

It is such a bummer, not only for obvious reason of them suffering from the illness, but not being able to spend Christmas with family.

It just isn’t the same when you have loved ones missing. You try to enjoy yourself, but yet you are worrying about those who are sick.

I have to say last year we made it through Christmas Eve, and by Christmas Day three quarters of the family got that horrible pneumonia thing that was going around last year that sent most of us to the hospital.

Well maybe 2014 will be our lucky year. It is already going to be extra special as we will be spending Christmas with the first grandchild, who will be arriving in the beginning of April. Well that is unless she makes an early appearance.

She isn’t even here yet and I couldn’t control myself buying for her. Can’t imagine what it will be like when she is here.
