SI writer has Bears in Super Bowl
September 9, 2009 - Ron Deuter
So, Peter King of Sports Illustrated has picked the Bears to make it to the Super Bowl, where he says they will fall to the New England Patriots. Great. There goes the season. Based on Sports Illustrated’s recent history of favorable predictions for Chicago teams compared to how those teams actually performed (i.e. the Cubs), I guess the Bears are in for another disappointing 7-9 season. King has pegged the Vikes and Pack at 10-6, with both teams making the playoffs. He envisions a Bears/Pack NFC Championship matchup. That would be something! Sorry Lions fans, King has Detroit in last at 3-13. Or wait, why am I saying sorry? I suppose 3-13 would be a success. At least his Lions PREVIEW includes a quote from a Yooper. You can read King’s entire article HERE.
