Wausaukee’s Lauren Edlbeck, who missed out on much of her volleyball and basketball seasons because of a blood clot, will return this spring to the softball program.
The fourth-year senior pitcher hopes to pace the Rangers to another M&O Conference title.
“It’s been great to have Lauren now for four years,” Wausaukee Coach Sue Stoltenberg told The EagleHerald. “She’s just matured and improved every year, and has turned into a great pitcher.”

Bessemer’s Kevin Borseth once left UW-Green Bay to coach women’s basketball at Michigan. He’s back at UWGB, and plans to stay there for good.
“I’m staying right here where we’ve got a great program and I’m close to home,” Borseth told The Daily Globe. “We get back to the U.P. quite a bit and my parents come down to watch our games, so that’s a lot of fun.”
Borseth missed out on signing Forest Park’s Lexi Gussert, but he did land 6-foot-1 Jessica Lindstrom of Superior, Wis.
“Just the nicest girl,” Borseth told the Press-Gazette. “And then she gets on the court and just rips the ball out of your hands. She is an aggressive player on the court.” ...
