Menominee’s Jacob Pedersen will be a late-round NFL draft pick, projects Milwaukee JournalSentinel pro football scribe and Escanaba native Bob McGinn.

Pedersen (6-foot-3.5, 238 pounds) caught a Wisconsin tight-end record 17 touchdowns in his career. “He’s real tough. He’ll get a shot,” one scout told McGinn.

There’s two other NFL draft prospects who took on the Kingsford Flivvers during their high school football careers — former Homestead (Wis.) stars Ben Gardner, defensive end-linebacker from Stanford, and Shelby Harris, defensive end-tackle with stops at Wisconsin and Illinois State.
