Meteor shower to dazzle night sky

May 23, 2014 - Nikki Younk
Memorial Day weekend is often seen as the unofficial start of summer. I can’t think of a better way to usher in my favorite season than by taking in a potentially spectacular meteor shower late tonight into Saturday morning.

The Camelopardalid meteor shower will peak between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. Saturday. For more info, check out this CNN article.

Looks like we'll have clear skies tonight, too. Are we ever lucky, or what? With the recent lunar eclipse and now the Camelopardalids, it’s shaping up to be a pretty good year for stargazers.
