One garden at a time

June 30, 2014 - Terri Castelaz
Tomorrow is July 1 and I still don't have all my flowers planted or my flower beds complete. I am hoping to have a very productive vacation this week and get this accomplished.

Today was very productive, but I spent the day working on my grandmother's garden not mine. I did feel good to get that done for her. She used to love to do gardening. She had several perennial gardens in her yard and she kept them up so nice. But because of her knee problems she isn't able to get up and down to weed them and over the last several years her gardens were over taken with grass. It was a struggle, but my mom and I got one of them cleaned out and have perennials replanted for her to enjoy this summer. We have a lot more to do in her yard, but at least it is a start.

Hopefully tomorrow I can get a lot accomplished in my gardens. Since I lost several perennials from the harsh winter so have to replace those and remulch all my gardens.

Usually I have my perennial bed done way before now. I can't believe it's going to be July tomorrow. Just knowing that is a major motivation to get everything done.

Now I just have to pray for a nice weather this week so goals are met. If not I will just focus on one garden at a time.
