Crying Children Not Allowed
July 30, 2014 - Theresa Proudfit
The Old Fisherman’s Grotto in Monterey, California has recently offended some parents with signs at their restaurant. The signs boldly read No Strollers. No High Chairs. No Booster Chairs. "Children crying or making loud noises are a distraction to other diners, and as such, are not allowed in the dining room.”
Doesn't bother me any. It's the perfect date night restaurant. There are plenty of family friendly restaurants that I love. If we have Kalli, I'm looking for a place with high chairs and changing tables. However, If I'm paying someone to watch my baby, so I can go out to dinner with my husband, I don't want to sit next to someone else's crying child.
There is a need for these kinds of restaurants just as there is a need for the family friendly kind. No offense taken. Enjoy your meal Monterey.
