Lost kitten

October 12, 2009 - Lisa Reed
My husband and I recently acquired another cat. A few months ago, the cat appeared in our yard and never left. The white cat with grey markings decided it was going to make our home its home. Our hunting dogs didn’t seem to phase the cat. Of course, a few them would have liked to chase it, but the cat seems to know how to outsmart the dogs. The cat even made its bed in one of our empty dog houses, which is very close to all the dogs. Since we could not get close to the cat for the past two months and noticed it was really skinny, we decided to start feeding it. Now the cat hangs out by our house. It does not get along with my cat, who comes into the house with scratch marks from that cat. My cat is declawed, so he can’t even fight back! Since my husband does not want another cat in the house, the cat has not been invited inside. It took us the last two months to even get close enough to this cat to pet it. The cat meows a lot and its meow sounds like “I don’t want to.” We even named the cat “I don’t wanna.” My husband wants me to bring the cat to the Humane Society, but I really don’t want to do that as it will never get adopted or be put to sleep because the shelter has too many cats. I am asking anyone who wants to give this cat a good home to contact me.
