What do you remember from 2009?

As the year draws to a close I will be paging through Daily News back issues to collect the top local sports stories of 2009 for inclusion in the paper’s upcoming year in review tab. I’ll do my best in the limited space allotted to cover as much as possible. I wonder what local sports stories were the most memorable for the readers. Any suggestions?
