New Year’s resolutions...

December 31, 2009 - Terri Castelaz
The start of a New Year is upon us, so it is time to get a list together of things that you will do or change in the coming year.

Everybody has their own personal resolution lists, mine have been pretty much the same for the past several years. Losing weight, save money, get organized, etc...

Losing weight has been at the top since having my daughter, Payton, which was nine years ago. This year I decided to change the order in achieving these, thinking it might help reach my goal of nine years.

In 2010 I want to try to manage my stress level better. Stress is what’s been helping me put this weight on in the first place. So hopefully getting rid or getting the stress under control I should be able to start losing the weight.

Stress is an unavoidable part of life. It’s the managing part of it that isn’t working for me right now. I find it more comforting to fill my face instead of getting on a treadmill. I have been reading up on the subject the last few days now. Many expects share the same ideas and tips on getting your stress levels under control. Many say don't sweat the small stuff. Also find an outlet to relieve the stress, like listening to music, working in a garden, exercising, etc.

I plan to adopt some of these ideas and hopefully it will work for me. I know I have to make a commitment. If your not truly committed to something, you will not achieve your goal permanently. Which have been my problem in the past. I am gun-hoe for the first month, two months, lose weight, and I fall off the wagon. Put those pounds back on and say to heck with it.

So for my health, I will try to reduce my stress and hopefully this will lead to weight loss.

I will let you know in a few months how it’s going.

Happy New Year to all.
