Opps ... dropped my cell phone

January 8, 2010 - Lisa Reed
So I managed to drop my cell phone in the toilet the day before New Year’s Eve. I quickly fished it out and dried it off. Miraculously it worked, for a few hours. It then froze and did not work. I even let my phone sit in rice for eight hours, but that didn’t help; I was without a phone or a simple way to communicate with my family and friends for the entire holiday weekend. I had all my phone numbers stored in my phone, so I couldn’t call anyone whose number I didn’t know. But that didn’t stop me from going out on New Year’s Eve to celebrate the end of 2009 and beginning of 2010. My husband and I dined at T & T Supper Club where we enjoyed steak and lobster and then proceeded to continue our celebration at the bars in Aurora. Needless to say, it was a fun, memorable night, even if I don’t recall some of it because of alcohol consumption. Then on Jan. 4, my phone started working. It worked just fine for two days and then froze again on Jan. 7. So once again I was without a way to text or call anyone. Because of that, I was determined to just get a new phone. After I took money out of the bank, my phone decided to work again. Then I accidentally dropped it in the snow this afternoon and it fell apart. I really figured it wouldn’t work again, but it did. And it is still working. So I am not getting a new phone yet. Before this phone decides not to work anymore, I am going to write out all the phone numbers stored in it. And I hoping this phone lasts for a while, so I can do something else with the money I reserved for a new phone!
