Go Ahead Psychoanalyze Me

February 25, 2010 - Theresa Proudfit

So I had this dream...I have lots of dreams, but this one is still pretty vivid in my mind so I'm wondering what I am supposed to learn from it.
I'm in my house, but it's not the house I live in now, It's much bigger, two stories, several large rooms filled with my family, friends, dogs, cats and I'm trying to accomplish something. Not sure what is it, but I'm having many distractions. My nephew wants to play, my niece is trying to show me something and the animals are running around the house. I go upstairs towards my room and in the stairwell I notice a big hole in the wall that leads to the attic. When I look into the attic I realize a large portion of the roof is missing. I can see blue skies and white clouds, birds flying around and suddenly a squirrel jumps down from the attic and runs through the house chasing the dogs and cats. The squirrel runs out of the house and one dog ran out the front door, a greyhound I think, and a orange cat ran out but I caught it and brought it back in the house. This 80 year old man shows up and tells me he can fix the roof but he will have to hire cheap labor,  I will have to pay their expenses and also I have to invite the old man to all of my social activities with my friends.  I didn't like his offer so I went to my room to slam the door but I had no door on my room just a sheet hanging between the two rooms.  I lay down on my bed and started to cry and then my mother comes in with a package.
Then the phone rang and I woke up.  I generally don't remember this much detail when I dream so I think I'm supposed to learn something from this one. Any one good at deciphering dreams out there? Tell me what you think.
