Your Power Trip has no Effect on Me

Trying be nice, you might get a more desirable outcome.  I'm amazed at how someone will intentionally go out of their way to make life more difficult for others.  Is it the need to feel important? Didn't you get enough attention growing up? Maybe it's the rush.  Does it make you feel more loved or respected or is it the simple pleasure of controlling another human being? I think everyone can get a little self absorbed at some points in their lives but we need to remember that no matter what you are going through someone else out there has it worse. Your attitude really is the most important factor. There is a famous quote by Epictetus "It's not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters." That has become my new mantra. Your attitude can only affect me if I let it. So go ahead holler and scream and stomp your feet your power trip has no effect on me.
