Little biker

It starts in the morning, a whine that rises and falls like someone using a Weedwacker in your ear.
But that’s not what the sound is — it’s my little neighbor riding his tiny motorbike. It’s only about two-feet tall, but it makes a lot of noise.
There’s not much cuter than a 7 or 8 year old, all decked out in his motorcross gear, zipping around the backyard on a little motorbike.
And I wouldn’t keep him from his fun even if it does annoy me. Sometimes you have to turn deaf ear to things.
He obviously likes that bike a lot, judging from the trails burned into the grass behind the backyard.
Maybe in 20 years I’ll see him on the X Games and he can say he tell how he got his start in the backyard.
