Move over S.U.V.’s

March 20, 2009 - Lisa Reed
IRON MOUNTAIN — I really think that people who drive a vehicle that is not financially economical should consider downsizing. If you don’t have a boatload of children, a lot of pets to tout around, children involved in sports or are not an avid hunter or fisher, why do you need a full-size Sport Utility Vehicle (S.U.V)? The majority of people who drive these types of vehicles do not look out for smaller vehicles on the road and in parking lots. The other day I was attempting to back out of a parking space, and a rather large S.U.V. figured they would back up at the same time. If I had not seen the S.U.V. and stopped backing up, I am sure it would have crunched my four-door car with me inside. Also with the fluctuating price of gasoline, the cost to fill the tank of one of those vehicles has got to be four times as much than an small, economical vehicle. I am just asking that everyone take a look at the vehicle they drive and ask themselves if they really need to drive a S.U.V.
