Send invites, address thank you notes

September 28, 2010 - Lisa Reed

Invites and thank you notes are proper etiquette for anyone who has a bridal shower, wedding or has a baby. Writing thank you notes and sending out invites is not optional. No matter how many gifts are received at either of these events, a thank you note is essential. It means you appreciated the thoughtfulness of someone giving you a gift. I like to be invited to a baby shower or wedding with a personal invite. My husband and I attended many weddings this past year and gave plenty of gifts of money, and we always appreciate receiving a thank you note in the mail. It says and means a lot.
