Weekday commute gets interesting

October 4, 2010 - Nikki Younk
Every single weekday, I have to drive nine miles from Norway to Iron Mountain, then drive back nine miles from Iron Mountain to Norway. It’s a dull route that I’ve traveled countless times throughout my 25 years.

Lately, I’ve found my commute more and more interesting. Why?

It’s the billboards.

You know what I’m talking about. Every month there are new wonders to behold from local real estate companies, construction companies, fast food joints, political organizations, and hospitals. Most billboards don’t really catch your eye, but some are real gems. You wonder what the advertising reps were thinking.

My current favorite, without naming names, is located near Dobbers Pasties in Iron Mountain. Take a look. I dare you.
