Some weird coincidence

November 5, 2010 - Linda Lobeck
In my rush to get things done on my lunch hour today, I ended up back at work and couldn't find my cell phone. I'm usually pretty organized, but misplacing things happens to the best of us. I checked around my desk, in the depths of my purse and all around in my car — but alas no phone. I tried calling the phone to see if I could find it by hearing it ring. That's worked in the past, but not today. I called my husband at home and asked him to look around the house and see if he could find it. As I was racking my brain for places I could have possibly left it, my phone rings at my desk and it's my husband. He says he found my phone. When I ask where it was, he laughs and tells me he had, by accident, put it in his pocket. He ended up leaving with two phones — his and mine. As I was laughing and relating this to my friend, Theresa, she was reading her horoscope for the day and read mine too. This is what it said, "Make sure you have your cell phone with you at all times, because an important message is on its way that you won't want to miss. It could mean the difference between success and failure." Well, that certainly produced a lot more laughs and actually is kind of a weird coincidence. I usually don't put much stake into these things or really believe someone can predict your future. But on the other hand, it would just be my luck to not have my cell pone with me and have an important message about my future comes across. Luckily I don't believe in those things or I would have picked the right numbers in the lottery by now!
