Going to the gym

January 18, 2011 - Blaine Hyska
Work doesn’t always have to be Take going to the gym, for example.

I enjoy it.

Getting up early is a pain, but the camaraderie is great once you get into a routine.

The early morning crowd at I the gym I frequent is a joy. They like to joke and have fun.

We discuss politics, global warming, gas prices, city doings, the Packers and Bears, and the economy.

Those can be hot topics.

Nothing, however, is taken too seriously with the early morning crowd. We joke about everything.

As a bunch of working stiffs, we all have enough time later in the day to take things seriously.

The problem is I seem to have so much fun enjoying the crowd that I spend more time talking than I do sweating.

Maybe, that’s why it’s so enjoyable.

Oh well, Rome wasn’t built it a day.
